Orange and Vanilla Creamsicles

Just like the creamsicles as a kid, but I layered these!! Fresh squeezed orange juice with vanilla extract, orange blossom water just to enhance the orange, and then a vanilla whipped cream, all layered and frozen together! They are so creamy and delicious on a hot summer day melting all over the place. The kids will love them!

Ingredients

  • 3 large oranges juiced
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract, divided
  • 1 tsp. orange blossom
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp. granulated sugar

Directions

In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with 1 tsp. vanilla and sugar until stiff peaks. Remove 1 cup of the whipped cream.

In a small bowl combine the fresh squeezed orange juice, 1 tsp. vanilla extract and the orange blossom water and whip in the reserved whipped cream until it’s all combined. Keep both in the fridge while the popsicles are freezing.

Assemble the molds and pour the orange juice mixture first about 1/3 of the way up. Freeze for about 1 hour, then spoon in the whipped cream about 2/3 of the way up. Place the sticks into the molds and then continue to freeze for another 30 minutes, then finish with the remaining orange juice mixture. Continue to freeze for another 1-2 hours until completely frozen. Use warm water if needed to remove from the molds. Enjoy!!
