Maple Brown Butter Blondies with White Chocolate Chips

It was really hard to walk away from this pan of soft, chewy, warm blondies. The brown butter is really key in these. Studded with white chocolate chips and maple syrup its just the perfect little fall treat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Grease and line a 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, and set aside.

Start by browning the butter over medium heat, stirring constantly. The butter will start to foam on top and milk solids will sink to the bottom. It will start to smell nutty. Once that happens remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

In a large mixing bowl combine browned butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, egg and vanilla. Mix together until combined.

Then add in the dry ingredients, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix it all together until all the flour is incorporated. Then stir in the white chocolate chips.

Pour into prepared pan and spread it out evenly, top with a couple more white chocolate chips and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting. Enjoy!
