Lavender Chamomile No-Churn Ice Cream
What a perfect way to celebrate these hot summer days than with some ice cream?! Cool off with this perfect no churn ice cream. It’s just so creamy and dreamy you want to float off and eat the whole thing by yourself. Not really…….but no one is judging if you do. I have been looking for a really long time for the right no churn recipe and I think I finally found the best one. I have a ton of chamomile and lavender growing in the garden right now and wanted to use it up, but the recipe is very versatile and you can really add anything you want to come up with your favorite combination.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 (14 oz) can condensed milk
- 2 tbsp. vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean seeds removed
- 2 tbsp dried lavender buds
- 2 tbsp. dried chamomile flowers
Directions
In a small sauce pan over medium low heat add 1/2 cup heavy cream along with the lavender and chamomile. Simmer on low heat for about 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep and cool completely. Place in the fridge to let continue to cool for about 20 minutes. Strain the heavy cream and set aside.
In a large bowl add the 2 cups heavy cream, chamomile lavender cream, condensed milk and vanilla extract. Mix on high speed with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Fold in another tbsp of lavender buds if you wish then pour into a bread loaf pan. Cover directly with plastic wrap and freeze until you can’t wait anymore or up to 4 hours. Enjoy!!!!!!
