Cherry Berry Crisp

I used to have crisps all the time growing up, there’s something so comforting to me about them. The smell of the brown sugar, berries, and warm cinnamon baking together. There’s nothing like it. Cherries, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries all mixed together and then topped with a cinnamon oat crisp. Finished with the vanilla ice cream its just so easy and so good! Use fresh of frozen and mix to your preference.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup strawberries, trimmed and halved
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup sweet cherries, pitted
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl combine the cherries and berries and mix together, pour into 9×9 inch baking pan, set aside.

In a medium bowl combine together the brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon and salt. Pour over the melted butter and mix it all together until it’s crumbly like wet sand. Sprinkle evenly over the berries and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let cool slightly and serve with ice cream!
