Lemon Lavender Thyme Cookies
These cookies are more cakey than crispy. They are like little fluffy muffin tops that are just so ladylike and perfect for your afternoon tea. Or a perfect summertime dessert!

Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp. lemon zest
- 3 tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 tsp. thyme
- 1 tbsp. dried lavender
Directions
Sift together flour with baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Stir in the lemon zest, thyme and lavender, and set aside.
In a large mixer with the paddle attachment or with an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth. On a low speed add the eggs, sour cream and vanilla extract.
Gradually start adding in the flour mixture until just mixed. Make sure to scrape down the sides to get everything combined.
On a greased baking sheet, spoon 2 tbsp. of dough about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-14 minutes, until lightly golden.
Vanilla Glaze
 Ingredients
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
In a small bowl add the powdered sugar and whisk in the milk and vanilla glaze until smooth and it coats the back of the spoon. Drizzle over the warm cookies and let sit for 5 minutes to set.
