Creamy Chocolate Frozen Yogurt Pops
Creamy greek yogurt mixed together with almond butter, pure maple syrup, a touch of vanilla extract for that added richness and a little cinnamon. Whisked all together until smooth, frozen and dipped in melted dark chocolate. It’s the kids absolute favorite after school treat at the moment. And they don’t even realize how healthy this little treat is!!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup creamy almond butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp. coconut oil
Directions
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, almond butter, maple syrup, cinnamon and salt until smooth. Spoon dollops onto the parchment paper into disks and use the back of the spoon to slightly flatten. Place a popsicle stick into the center of each one and cover it. Place in the freezer for at least 20 minutes until frozen.
In a small bowl melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in 30 second intervals until completely melted.
Dip each pop into the melted chocolate so it gets evenly coated, and let any remaining drip off. Place back onto the paper and continue with the rest. Pop back into the freezer until ready to eat. Keep in air tight container in the freezer.
