Creamy Almond Butter

This is so much fun to make! It’s an awesome twist on peanut butter and you can put it into smoothies for a little added substance, or dip fruit into it.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups raw, unsalted almonds
  • 1 tbsp. honey

Directions

In a large food processor with a metal blade attachment, place all the almonds in and start on high.  This process will go for about 20 minutes. Just continuously scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula.  The oils will start to release from the almonds causing them to create this beautiful butter. Add the honey if you would like a little added sweetness.  Just when you think you’re done mixing, keep going until it’s combined and creamy; a thick butter consistency. Keep in refrigerator.
