Maple Cinnamon Frozen Yogurt

I’ve been wanting to try and make frozen yogurt for awhile now, but have never gotten around to it yet until the other day. I realized I had had two containers of yogurt in the fridge. This is not like the fro-yo out of the machines, this is soo much better. Its rich, it’s creamy, slight tanginess from the yogurt. Topped with a little homemade pecan granola and another drizzle of maple syrup. The boys couldn’t even tell the difference from ice cream and they devoured it. I made theirs into little frozen popsicles and dipped them in chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Directions

In a medium bowl combine together the Greek yogurt with maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla. Whisk it until smooth. Pour the mixture into the ice cream machine and churn until frozen. Scoop into container and freeze for at least another hour. Then scoop it up and serve! Top it with your favorite toppings! Keep it in an air tight container in the freezer.
